As of June 1, 2026 the trial run of the SCD One Merchandise Store is closed. This store was powered by Shopify on a trial run basis. Putting it succinctly, Shopify is not the right e-commerce partnership for SCD One. In fact, such theme seems to be reoccurring in Ontario, Canada. The long and short of it is that Ontario, Canada has placed its bet on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ("DEI"), which same, alleged, marginalized groups are the source of the economic upheaval (recession) Canada faces (coupled with the Ontario region hyper-partisan political climate driving multi-billion dollar deficits). As a consequence, Canada shows signs of being unable to mend the foregoing economic climate, due to a want in adequate leadership up to the challenge. From a business perspective, it matters not which group(s) are culpable, only that such socio-economic dynamics are entirely inconsistent with the operational integrity standards, policies, and practices of SCD One as persistently and stubbornly exhibited within Ontario, Canada. Thus, SCD One will stand-up a new merchandise store completely managed by SCD One. Expect to see ground breaking signs per the new store very soon as this effort works in parallel with several other activities in the pipeline. SCD One has announced a commitment to Q Day resilience. For those unfamiliar, quantum computers have become a real adversary in the digital cybersecurity world. The industry is not being entirely forthcoming with the current capabilities of quantum computers as far as the ability to crack cryptography real-time in transit. That is bad news. And here at SCD One we do not like cyber-baddies. So, we have, also, been working on a secure data exchange model for everyday internet communications where digital privacy is not a mere nicety but rather an absolute requirement. Right now, SCD One has a proof of concept that will be tested in house over a period of time that will virtually guarantee quantum computing resilience. Furthermore, this is such a big deal that we will be allocating a bunch of bodies on this effort. SCD One is not waiting for the industry to respond; but, rather compelling the industry to adapt. Keep a watchful eye out for this one as it is a very high priority endeavor and sure to be a game changer.
Here at SCD One we are always working to enhance the quality of your interactions with us. To that end, we are working on a new communications channel for prospective clients. The long and short of is that prospective clients will soon be able to set up a secure personalized channel for direct interaction with SCD One. Rather than delve into the minutia, suffice it to say that the aim is to make everyday interactions simple, straightforward, with real human responses -- generally within three business days although more often than not within one business day. This new channel will leverage the newly announced message broker technology. Expect to see the first roll-out by the end of Q3 2026. Upon successful roll-out, the legacy based email communications model will be retired. Email is well - antiquated, spam prone, wastes bandwidth, and server clock cycles processing gibberish often from unknown or spoofed senders. In short, email is not consistent with the direction of SCD One as a technology implementations leader.
